Sporting My New Paper Bag

Paper BagI am no fashion queen, don’t plan on being one anytime soon, if EVER! Once in a while I like to break away from the the old and do something that just will shock the masses, and make me feel like more than just a gal in the IT department wearing jeans, or corduroy, a beat up shirt and a bunned up lump of hair.

I like to call this change a break out of the new paper bag.  Why? Well because tomorrow just like a reused bag, I will be back to my frumpy old self.  Or in this case not till Thursday.

What will tomorrow bring???

Suggestions???

2 Broke Girls

If you haven’t seen it, you should, even if it’s just one episode.  The off language and lewd references are off beat, but rather true to life conversation exists in this series.

I like the show because unlike most sitcoms post 2000, there isn’t a lack of realism; fact is most reality shows lack realism.

The girls, Max and Caroline [played by Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs] are refreshing in a way you don’t see often.  Two complete misfits finding each other through one common string….their broke.  One from the up side of town, and well the other from the running end.  Broke for completely  different reasons, but both trying to survive it and rise above it. Diner bumpkins struggling to survive while accumulating pocket change to launch a cupcake business.

The sad reality is that many of these shows slip under the bus, and get crushed by the wheels of other shows, or because rather dry critics don’t quite appreciate the humor. Crossing my fingers here.

It’s not who you know, but how well you know them.
